FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Are hearing tests painful?+

No. Standard audiometry, tympanometry and OAE are non-invasive and generally painless.

Can babies and children have hearing tests?+

Yes. OAE, tympanometry, behavioural tests or ABR/BERA can be selected according to the child’s age and development.

How should I prepare for a hearing test?+

Special preparation is usually unnecessary. Bring previous reports and a medicine list; wax or infection may need assessment first.
